Easy Challah French Toast Recipe

This is a follow up from my Challah recipe in case you have some left over.

Challah makes the best French toast. It’s even better when the bread is stale. So do not throw out your bread. Make some French toast!

Ingredients

2 eggs 1/2 cup milk

Cinnamon

Vanilla Paste

Lemon zest

Sugar

Butter for frying

Berries, maple syrup, bacon or whatever you want to top them with

Method

  1. Whisk the egg, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, lemon zest & sugar if using.
  2. Slice the bread into thick slices.
  3. Soak the bread in your egg mix.
  4. Fry on medium-high heat until golden. Add the butter if you want to for extra goodness!
  5. Serve whilst warm.
